What are Concrete swimming pools?
Concrete swimming pools are built using a construction method whereby steel mesh panels and steel rods re-enforcing is installed prior to casting /application. The difference lies in the method of application and the shape of the swimming pool.
What is the method used relating to concrete swimming pools?
A pre-mixed concrete mixture by an approved concrete mixing company approved by (SABS) provides the minimum concrete strength of 30 MPA and is continuously packed creating the floor and the side walls of a swimming pool , with a minimum thickness of approximately 150mm to 200mm or more.
In what type of soil can concrete swimming pools be built?
Concrete swimming pools can be designed / installed in many different types of soil. Any shape and size is possible. Many designs can be created even under water.
What is the lifetime of a concrete swimming pool?
The lifetime of concrete pools is quite long and can also be easy to renovate when for example cracks appear in the concrete.
Can you install water features, or make other aesthetic additions to the concrete pool?
Concrete swimming pools are easy to build. Water features, inside benches, martin seats and more options can be added when building the pool.
Do you have to redesign your garden to accommodate your pool?
You don’t have to re-design your garden or do landscaping around your pool; you can design your swimming pool to fit in with your existing landscaping.
What type of finishing is available for a concrete pool?
With concrete swimming pools there are many options available to finish off the pool. You can for example use marbelite pool plaster, a fiberglass lining, different mosaic tiles, customized mosaic tiles, and different colors to match your surrounding landscaping. You can in fact select any finishing material to personalize your swimming pool.
